my academic goal in life is to someday get my phd, establish myself as a scholar, and then use that exclusively to fuck around, and nobody will be able to say anything because i’m a good scholar and i make good points. like yeah maybe i spend the entirety of a 30 page article translating “catharsis” as “big mood” but there’s nothing anybody can do because i am, as the kids say, valid
tumblr is like wading through everyone else’s garbage until you find something good and go “ah. this is good” and take it and display it in your own garbage pile
